Japans domestic scrap market rises for five consecutive weeks

According to statistics from the Japan Iron Source Association, the average price of No. 2 heavy scrap in Japan’s three major scrap regions, Kanto, Central, and Kansai steel mills this week was 35,976 yen/ton (367 US dollars/ton), an increase of 762 yen/ton from last week , Rising for five consecutive weeks, reaching the highest level since April 2011, and a cumulative increase of 3380 yen/ton in the past month.

Among them, the spot delivery price of the Kanto No. 2 heavy waste was 37183 yen/ton, an increase of 600 yen/ton from last week; the central area was 33120 yen/ton, an increase of 1,000 yen/ton from last week; Kansai was 37,625 days Yuan/ton, up 687 yen/ton from last week.
